It has charms with ancient Latvian symbols that keep away evil spirits & bring luck… A legend says that there was a beautiful young girl who had admirers & she could not choose which one to marry. The girl asked the village silversmith to make a ring with charms, each having a different symbol & representing one of her admirers. She decided to marry the man whose charm came off first.
