Horizontal Dowel & Post with 3 different sized rings: Materials such as this one are found in Montessori 0-3 training centers around the world. The materials are designed to present a new challenge to the child, using their hand & wrist to place the wooden rings on the dowel while developing hand-eye coordination. From the original listing: The wooden base is 4 inches by 6 inches, & it is about 4 1/2 inches tall. Three different size rings are included for different challenge levels: 2 1/2, 1 3/4, & 1 1/2 inches OR you can select to have all three rings the same large 2 1/2 inch diameter size in the drop down menu. All of the wood is sealed in a natural homemade beeswax/olive oil blend. The rings are available in a variety of colors including natural, pink, green, yellow, & purple. The colors are created through homemade dyes, using all natural ingredients: blueberries, red cabbage, beets, & turmeric. The colors are more subtle than commercial dyes & paints, giving the pieces a vintage look & keeping them completely natural. Threading Discs: These Montessori threading discs are designed for little hands developing fine motor skills through threading! The design is a collaboration with Trina (find her on Instagram as @diycorporatemom & @alittlemontessori), a dedicated Montessori educator working to give more people access to quality Montessori materials. The materials can be ordered in three options: Natural color/no finish Natural color/finished in beeswax & olive oil Dyed with our studio made organic food-based dyes/finished in beeswax & olive oil The wooden “needle” is three inches in length, the leather extends to 6 inches, the bell is 1 inch in diameter, the discs are 2 3/8 inches in diameter.
