Antique French 18k gold, yellow & rose with black enamel inlay brooch. The black enamel is inlaid with rose gold floral & leaf pattern. It has the Paris Hallmark of the Rams Head indicating 18 carats, which was in use from 1819 to 1838. Completely Stunning! For a historical time line, it will date to the Georgian Period or the Bourbon Restoration Period here in France The black enamel section of the brooch has been inlaid with stunning rose gold floral detail. This really is a fabulous piece. It is 5cms wide or 2" & 3cms or 1 & 1/8" long It closes at the rear with a trombone clasp & it is in excellent condition. It weighs 7 grams.
