Antique Victorian Birks 14K Gold Citrine Brooch Pin C.1900

Gorgeous Victorian large hand carved natural citrine in 14K yellow gold brooch by Birks C.1900. The brooch stands out with a large sugar loaf citrine of great color. The gemstone is hand carved into 8 alternating clear & matted sectors. The citrine measures 14 mm square. It is mounted in yellow gold bar pin embellished with fine open work filigree. The brooch is 67 mm (2 5/8") long, 15.5 mm (9/16") wide. The back of the brooch stamped BIRKS 14K. A secure C-clasp stamped B14K. Total weight is 6 grams. Excellent antique condition commensurate with age. Birks Co was established in Montreal in 1879 & still open.
