Set with sparkling blue & white paste gems in a flower & vine motif, this locket is the perfect way to celebrate nature, & of course, love. A beautiful oval shape with detailed repousse work around the edges of both the front & back, this pristine example it is set with two brilliant blue pastes in flower shaped settings, each accented by hand engraved scrolling vines that are set with a sinuous line of five additional sparkling white pastes. Known for their love of all things symbolic, to the Victorians the color blue was most closely associated fidelity, & white with purity. Worn close to the heart, this would have been a constant reminder of that special someone held inside. A very wearable size as a pendant, it measures 41mm x 26mm & weighs 2.7 grams. It is hallmarked ‘9ct’ as well as ‘back & front’, & has a solid 9 karat gold body that is held together by a sturdy metal frame. It has a slightly concave exterior that feels just right in the hand, opens easily & closes with tightly with a nice little ‘click’!
