Here is a wonderful antique needlepoint woolwork of sheep, probably from the mid to late 1800s Victorian period. This lovely medium sized needlepoint has been lovingly hand stitched in wood, it depicts a sheep with lambs & a ram among foliage as seen in the photos. Plain cream/beige wool back drop, it comes as shown no mount just the panel, it is in reasonable condition but is sold as seen with nail holes from previous mount, discolouration (mainly to the top) & small area of wool loss & wear, please see all the photos as they are a true representation of the condition. I think it could be framed in such a way to hide most of the wear. Condition: Sold as seen (discolouration, nail holes from previous mount, small areas of wool loss & wear) Measures (main body of work) 17inches by 11.5inches Full panel measures 22inches by 16inches Stk no: EJ4433 Antique Victorian Tapestry Needlework Woolwork Sheep With Lambs & Ram Needlepoint Panel Well Worn
