We are pretty Type A when it comes to describing our vintage items/sets as thoroughly as possible but if you’re unhappy with your purchase, please contact us immediately instead of leaving negative feedback. Thanks for visiting our shop! Cheers! . A stunning silver-plated antique flask by Meriden, early 1900s. This flask is nothing short of stunning & has a magical feel to it. Extremely heavy in weight, this flask is solid & well-crafted. It features a Greek scene of a Greek figure holding a spear & various animals (a panther, a ram). The top & lower section of the flask features an Art Deco thick “ribbed” pattern. It has a raised floral Repousse style design & the screw-on cap serves as a “shot glass” & expands/collapses. Truly a breath-taking piece. We’ve included an image of the original catalog ad for Meriden flasks, see last photo. Condition: Great antique condition. The silver-plating is in excellent condition & vibrant. The silver-plating is a true vibrant silver tone; any gold hue you see is from the camera’s flask. No dents or dings. There’s some mild/general surface wear (i.e. very subtle but noticeable on the bottom of the flask) & also some mild tarnish in a few places. The cap screws on tightly. Please note: we have not tested the collaspible shot glass for leakage. Please Note: we typically do not test our flasks for leakage. We offer a variety of vintage flasks (both usable as well as collectible/display only). We are happy to put our flasks through a thorough leakage test (which involves filling it with liquid & rigorously shaking it) please message us if you’d like us to test this particular flask. Cheers! Hallmarks: “Meriden B. Company” can be found on the bottom of the flask along with a hallmark of a balancing scale as well as “16” & “USA” Measurements: Approx. 5 1/4" tall by a tad over 3 1/4" wide On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously & carefully wrap all pieces well to ensure safe delivery.
