All stencils are made with a durable & flexible mylar. These stencils are reusable indefinitely if washed properly after use & handles delicately. Some paint mediums may leave a slight stain, but this does not affect the function of the stencil, it is only a cosmetic issue.) Please let me know in the note to seller section if this is a RUSH ORDER FOR BEST RESULTS: Use low tack adhesive spray on the back of the stencil to keep all parts of the stencil firmly stuck to the surface. Make sure to follow the directions on the bottle of low-tack adhesive. WASHING Rinse the stencil with water immediately after you are done using it, then put it in warm soapy water to soak for a few minutes. Low tack adhesive can be washed off with warm water & soap. Store flat in a cool dark place to avoid any warping. SIZING: Sizing is based on the actual cut image & based on the longest side. There is a blank border around the image for easy taping or clamping. 4mil is fairly thin & good for a few uses (and more if used carefully). If you want a clean-looking design, you’ll probably need a low-tack adhesive spray to keep the stencil on the surface since the stencil is pretty thin. If you’re concerned about the thinness, please go ahead order a thicker option - you won’t regret it. I keep this as a more affordable option for my customers. 6mil is thicker & therefore the stencil will be less floppy & less of a need for the adhesive spray. 6mil is a bit more sturdy than 4mil so it will be a bit more durable for use. 7.5 mil is even thicker & the stencil should pretty much stay in place with tape around the border. You’ll get a clean line (if you’re using a proper stencil painting technique - I would look on google or youtube) without adhesive on the back. 7.5mil is a considerably thicker stencil & a great choice for long-term or professional use. Since it’s thicker, it’s easier to use & clean, & much less prone to tearing. PACKAGING: I use 100% eco-friendly compostable packaging with no plastic.
