So let’s sow the seeds of bells of different species, especially those best suited for rock gardens. We recommend a seed mix that includes many low-growing plants with bell-shaped flowers of various colors - white, pink, blue or purple. These are species that are suitable not only for growing in a rockery, but also in containers & in perennial beds. Mix of bells reduces the risk of crop failure, & also allows you to get a long-flowering corner in the garden. It includes those species that will bloom in the first year of cultivation & those whose flowers will appear in the following years. The flowers develop in different months (from June to the end of August). Seeds are sown in early spring on the seedbed or under covers, & the young seedlings are transplanted into the ground a few weeks after sowing. Plants are best planted 20 cm apart in well-drained, fertile & slightly alkaline soil. They will grow well in both sunny & semi-shaded positions.
