Rose cut sapphire stud earrings 18k gold & sterling silver Perfect for adding a little bit of color & sparkle to your day! I created these pieces all by hand & from scratch with 18k gold & sterling silver. The bezel wall that captures & wraps around the sapphires are solid 18k gold. The back side of the settings & the posts are sterling silver. I constructed, soldered, set, & polished every piece. The stones are natural sapphires; they’re not synthetic, nor grown in a lab. Sapphires come in all different colors depending on how they form in the Earth. These sapphires have a pretty rose cut to the surface causing the triangular facets to twinkle in the light. These two sapphires are about 4 carats in weight. The stones measure 11 mm long by 8 mm across. One of the settings is stamped with 925 for sterling silver & the other setting is stamped with 18k. The posts are .91mm or 20 gauge in size. They have a grove on the end so that the backing rests on it to help prevent the backing from slipping off. The backings (ear nuts) are sterling silver as well. This piece comes gift wrapped in a black box with a white ribbon. Made by me in my studio in Portland, OR.
