This is an elegant & graceful brass gazelle/antelope art object sculpture made for San Pacific in Korea circa 1970s. The gazelle symbolizes female beauty & intuition. The word gazelle comes from the Arabic Ghazal which literally means a love poem set to music, how extraordinarily beautiful. The gazelle is graceful, fast & intuitive. Typically found in the Serengeti, a gazelle/antelope (gazelles are part of the larger umbrella species of antelopes which also include impalas & wildebeests) must outrun lions & cheetahs. The gazelle will only be caught if she looks back to often to measure the distance of her prey, a simple life metaphor this beautiful art piece will remind you. There is some patina that can easily be polished up, if desired. The wood stand has a some areas where the wood can be polished up as well, nothing that can’t be fixed. Use this piece as a decorative art object or single book end. Measures: 7.5x 8 x 2. Brass Antelope/Gazelle/Ram Art Sculpture. Mcm Brass Antelope& Wood Block. 70S San Pacific Object. Antelope Book End
