The colorful, original art and simple wording illuminate the various ways Jinx and Penny are opposites in spite of being brother and sister. Little ones will enjoy learning about opposites while tracking the cats’ whereabouts on a detailed illustration of the house they live in, cleverly used as the end pages. Artist Amy McGregor-Radin created an engaging book, fun for adults to read aloud and beginning readers alike. Each illustration was created using the white line woodcut technique, a hand-printing method that was devised in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Brother Cat, sister cat is her debut children’s book.
