c1900 Henriot Quimper Prototype Watercolor Sheet from the Factory. Extremely rare item one of two I acquired from an extensive Quimper collection that was put together in the mid 20th century. This piece is over 100 years old guaranteed but recently framed & matted with non acid paper. I’m 100% sure it’s an original watercolor from the factory over 100 years old with notes in pencil below each item. It was customary in the past that one watercolor prototype be made for the finer faience pieces. These watercolors served as a model to guide the artists who ultimately painted the pieces which were so rich in color & detail. 24.5" x 17" x 10 5/8" x 18.25" sight. Some wear to drawings/paper from before it was framed but it displays beautifully & is sure the be the highlight of any Quimper collection.
