In October 1995, Ron and Margie Kauffman made their first appearance on QVC, offering their Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes to QVC viewers..They sold out of 2,000 boxes of a dozen crab cakes in seven minutes. Since then, they have sold millions of crab cakes on QVC, as well as 70 other products, such as Eight Portobello Mushrooms stuffed with Crab Imperial and a 16-piece Coconut Shrimp family entree.
The Kauffman’s Maryland company, Chesapeake Bay Gourmet, is this country’s premier name in crab cakes and prepared seafood delights, with its own catalog and customer database at QVC.
