This listing is for a skinny quarter (9 inches or 22.9 cm), fat quarter (18 inches x 21.5 inches or 45.7cm x 54.6cm), 1/2 yard (18 inches or 45.7cm) or 1 yard (36 inches 91.4 cm) of fabric. Please select the length you wish to order using the drop down box. There are multiple yards available. You will receive the entire yardage as one complete length. This beautiful fabric is 85% cotton & 15% linen. The addition of the linen fibers gives it a wonderful substantial feeling & texture. It is perfect for quilting, clothing, sashiko, accessories & other home decor. This fabric is a medium weight with a stiff drape that becomes more fluid & soft after washing. It has little to no sheen & a wonderful texture. The fabric can be machine washed & dried. I recommend washing on delicate (or by hand) & removing from dryer before it is fully dry to give it an ironing. Place a cloth between the iron & fabric to prevent burnishing. The fabric will shrink a bit & become softer & denser after washing. If you like your sashiko projects to be a little “cushiony” & “crinkly” with lots of texture then wash the fabric after your sashiko is complete. The shrinkage will give the project even more texture. The 7th photo shows the color most accurately. Crayola brand crayons are shown for a color comparison. The last photo shows a sashiko project that I completed using other fabrics from this collection as a border around the sashiko sampler. This item is not available for sale but is to show how this fabric can be used in a project. The fabric was not washed prior to using it as this is a wall hanging & I do not plan on washing it. The fabric was wonderful to work with & is easy to sew by machine & by hand.
