These cute little biennials are easy to grow & frost resistant. Their compact habit, harmonious shape & varied colors of flower baskets make them perfect for various roles - on borders, flower beds & in balcony boxes. Life form: biennial plant, habit: species owes its characteristic, hemispherical habit to numerous, quite short shoots that reach even length. Plants offered in our store measure 15-20 cm. Green, ovate leaves of the Pomponette Daisy are gathered in lush, down-to-earth rosettes. They reach half the length of the shoots, so they never cover the flowers - but they are an effective, contrasting background for their intensely colored petals. in warm, sunny weather, the first flowers can be expected already in mid-April (in the second year after sowing the seeds). Flowering ends in July or late July & August. Daisy Pompoms Blend, from which the proposed variety derives its name, are abundant, full flower baskets, made of a huge number of narrow ligament flowers. Daisy Pompoms Blend will produce white, pink & red flowers, but the specimens with two-color flower baskets are not uncommon. For abundant flowering, plants need a sunny position & fairly fertile garden soil. The high content of humus in the substrate will guarantee them not only an abundance of nutrients, but also optimal conditions for root development - the soil should be moderately moist, but airy & not too heavy. A small spacing of 15 x 20 cm is enough for the daisies - then we will get a dense, blooming rug on the bed. Daisy Pompoms Blend are resistant to winter frosts. Application for flower beds, beds, borders, containers - the only limitation for Pomponette applications is the imagination of the gardener. These charming plants can become an effective companion for perennials & annuals, although they also look great next to other pompom daisies.
