Coneflowers ‘Lemon Yellow’ are long-day plants, preferring plenty of sunlight. During blooming, 14-16 hours of sunlight per day should be ensured for 7-8 weeks. For optimum posture & a maximum number of flowers, coneflowers ‘Sombrero Lemon Yellow’ should be planted in a place with at least 5 hours of full sun per day. The plant can adapt to partially-shaded environments, but the stem posture may become twisted in the search for adequate sunlight. Coneflowers can handle drought but prefer moderate water in well drained soil. Easy to grow & very low maintenance, this perennial is a favorite for pollinators like bees & butterflies. Bring the flowers inside to brighten the home in flower arrangements or even as dry flowers that last for months. They also provide seed to add more to your garden or share with friends. Because it makes a great container plant, I also like them in pots on the patio or deck. in cold climates they may die back after a hard freeze or snow storm but they come back each spring. This is a very hardy perennial & is a must for all gardens. Coneflowers come in several other colors. I have this yellow one & also check out Tomato Soup a nice red. If summer long large yellow blooms are a must in your garden, consider coneflowers! Again they are easy to grow. They have really few pests & few disease issues. I sell these in quart size containers & my pricing includes shipping. Free shipping is for no matter the amount you order. Let me send some for your garden today!
