Each Card Holder has two slots that are cut at a slight angle. The first row is cut about 1/4 deeper than the second row which helps in being able to see & manage your playing cards. These Playing Card Holders start from rough-sawn Virginia grown pine lumber that we mill to approximately 7 3/4 long x 1 3/8" to 1 1/2" wide x 5/8" to 3/4" thick. The wood is sanded smooth & receives a child friendly finish to protect it from dirt & moisture. We do not put felt on the bottom because once it gets wet from the inevitable spill the card holder may become less than useful. Each holder is unique & may have small tight knots or similar growth patterns. The photos with card holders shown on the lighted table or being played with by our grand-daughters are simply for display & are not the ones you will receive. We began making these for the senior center where my mother lives. Our grandchildren liked using them when we played games like Uno, Go Fish or games where it is easy to get too many cards to hold in their hands.
