Colon classification (CC) is a system of library classification developed by S.R. Ranganathan. It was the first ever faceted (or analytico- synthetic)classification. It is especially used in libraries in India. Colon classification is one of the most scientific and logical schemes based on principles and postulates. However, at times, the rules, principles and postulates are considered to be complex in nature. This book is an attempt to explain the Provision in simple language and lucid style. The present book tread a new Path in presenting Colon Classification to the reader community.
