Presented is a fine set of 5 Whiting sterling silver cocktail, seafood, or hors d’oeuvres forks. These forks are made in the rare & desirable Heraldic pattern, which began production in 1880. This is a classical pattern with intricate scrolled foliate designs & a knight’s helmet design, as you’d see on a traditional heraldic crest, on the handle, hence the name. Each fork has a monogram of GH on the handle in flowing script. Each fork is stamped with the Whiting maker’s mark as well as sterling & a retail mark for Bailey, Banks & Biddle. This set is in great condition. The details of the pattern are nice & crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, & no repairs. Each fork is about 6 3/8 inches long.
