There’s nothing or no one more appropriate to put on the cover of this recipe book than a picture of my youngest son. He’s been fishing practically as long as hes been walking. Being an avid fisherman, he a fishing guide on Grand Lake for years He comes by his love of fishing quite honestly as my mother taught me to fish when I was young and. I was taking him pond fishing when he was still in a stroller. With most of these recipes, a memory from the past flashed into my mind while I was typing it. The bringing forth of this book has served as a wonderful memory trip for me. While sorting through them I found myself thinking … This is a wonderful halibut recipe from a Fourth of July picnic in Homer, Alaska. And, a cerviche recipe from a political function in Homer, Alaska. These are only a couple of the thoughts. It seems like each one has had it’s own little memory. At times reminiscing took more time than inputting. Just where does a person draw a line on contents of a recipe book? I don’t know, because I haven’t been able to do that. So on the pages of this book are recipes for some of the best seafood and fish recipes I’ve ever tasted … from some of the best cooks I know.
