Water conflicts related to allocation and distribution are well-known whereas pertaining to pollution are less-known and less documented in India as well as other countries. This book gives the clear understanding on water conflicts between a multinational Gelatin producing company and local residents of Kathikudam, Kerala, India. The air, water and soil pollution produced by the company is the main reason of growing conflict between the company and local residents of Kathikudam as well as riparian of Chalakudy River, Kerala. The contribution of industries is obviously significant in Indian economy whereas the flip side of industrial development has always been in shadow in India. This research reveals a clear example of flip side of industrial development.
