These glass “shards” originate from broken bottles & tableware found as a result of eroded dump sites, natural disasters, & (my favorite) shipwrecks. Yo, Ho, Ho, & a bottle of Rum! A really good piece of Sea Glass is at least 50 years old. It takes that long to tumble in the surf & sand & become pitted by mother nature. They are a perfect example of our human discarded “rubbish” turned into something beautiful by the ocean. The pieces you find in my store are hand collected from the sea shore, by me or someone I know personally. With the wonderful recycling we do now, they will not be found forever.
