In today’s society, it is more important than ever for businesses to keep accurate financial records. The same holds true for nonprofit organizations and religious institutions, both of which have fallen under immense scrutiny from donors and regulatory bodies since the enactment of the Sarbanes-Oxley legislation in 2002. This scrutiny has been heighten even more for organizations of a charitable, philanthropic, or faith-based nature since the economic downtown that began in 2009.
