Quite easy to grow, resistant to most diseases & pests, this plant will decorate the space around your home all summer long & since it is undemanding, even amateur gardeners can cope with it. Geum is a perennial plant. The presented species grows up to 40-60 cm in height on average. Tufted - the plant produces a rosette of leaves, between which sprouts topped with inflorescences grow. Half-double flowers of the Chilean Geum bloom singly on the shoots. The numerous stalks, decorated with flowers, look like paniculate inflorescences. The variety offered is characterized by yellowish, orange or orange-red flowers. Plant begins flowering in the second year after planting, & blooms all summer, from June to the end of August. The aboveground rosette is composed of lobed, slightly hairy leaves, & the stem has smaller, serrated or notched leaves. Choose sunny positions for cultivation on moderately moist, rather rich & well-drained soil. Seeds are sown in boxes under covers or on a seedbed in May or June. We do not replant the young copies to the ground until August. Plants look best when planted with a spacing of 25 x 30 cm. Geum offered in our garden shop is perfect as a species for planting perennial beds. It also feels great in rock gardens, surrounded by other ornamental plants. It is worth planting it in large groups - it will create beautiful, colorful tufts. Due to the interesting, semi-double, reddish flowers, it is also recommended for cut flowers.
