In 2002, the USPS issued two 50 state collection “Greetings from . . . .” These stamps were designed to look like the large print post cards of the 1940’s & 1950’s. The first release was for stamps of 34c; later in the year the same stamps were reissued at 37c each when postage was increased. When ordering, you may receive a 34c or a 37c stamp, depending on availability. Please indicate what color frame you prefer: black, white, or walnut. All frames are 4.75 by 3.75 inches & are made of wood. A bit more history: The United States Post Office issued its first stamp on July 1, 1847. Since that time, over 5000 stamps have been released. Each stamp is given its own identification number called a Scott Number. These stamps have been designated as Scott Numbers 3579 & 3714.
