This product is part of our retro styled & inspired series of products! Hair tonic was all the rage many years ago & it’s fallin’ a little out of favor these days & that’s just too bad. in some ways it’s good it’s not so popular because the over the counter ones out there are rather harmful to the hair & don’t really do anything but maybe smell for a minute or two. Like all our products ours is a safer alternative & it’s a custom blend with of oils & liquids that is not heavy & greasy so it will be penetrate your hair & scalp. We’ve also created a custom scent that just screams OLD TIME BARBER SHOP but it is neither masculine or feminine so this product can be used by men & women. Hair tonics were originally sold just to add “luster” or “sheen” to hair as it was believed that “greasier” looking hair was healthier looking hair. The only problem is they had no actual health benefit & were just water, alcohol & some kind of low grade oil or spirit. Our hair tonic is retro styled but we have added some pure oils & essential oils to help actually do some healing. This works great as scalp massager & moisturizer so make sure to not only apply to your hair but also get it down into your scalp, you’ll find yourself asking why you’ve never used hair tonic before! Like a lot of our products you will need to use far less than typical, this bottle should last you a long time even with daily use. I actually prefer to use this after showering or more specifically after shampooing my hair. I feel it helps to lock in some oils & it’s a good time to scrub the scalp & moisturize it. I know some folks who actually just use a tonic in there hair without the use of any pomade or styling product. I’m not one of the lucky ones who can do this as my thick curly hair definitely requires some wax :P Unscented products are products without any added fragrance oil, there may be some residual “scent” from the ingredients. We offer most products without added scents for both folks with allergies & those who do not want perfumes & colognes in their products.
