Each hair pin is made with 10 gauge solid copper wire, hand formed & hammered. Professional quality red brass (Nugold), Bronze & Nickel Silver are other options. All metals are unsealed, so they will naturally develop an aged patina over time. Bronze is the hardest metal option. Copper is the softest,and can be a bit bendy. The nickel silver & Nugold are both somewhere in the middle strengthwise. (Results will vary depending on the thickness & length of your own hair, & additional pins or hair ties may be required for certain hairstyles.) The 3 1/2" & 4" lengths are the most popular, & tend to work well for the majority of women. I recommend the 3" for shorter/thinner hairstyles & half updos, & the 4 1/2" for longer/thicker hair or if you want the ends to stick out.
