Since ancient times it is considered a sacred stone & is used as an amulet capable of ensuring protection, success & health: it is said that it protects the mother during pregnancy, infuses courage & optimism, gives peace & tranquility, promotes relaxation of the mind & meditation. MEASURES 5 3/4 US Stone: 8 x 7 mm (0.31 x 0.27 inches) 7 US Stone: 8 x 7 mm (0.31 x 0.27 inches) 7 1/2 US Stone: 7 x 5 mm (0.27 x 0.19 inches) 9 1/2 US Stone: 8 x 7 mm (0.31 x 0.27 inches) 10 US Stone: 7 x 6 mm (0.27 x 0.23 inches) DETAILS These rings have been created with the electroforming technique, a multi-step process by which pure copper grow around the stone creating a setting which is unique in shape & texture; this plating bath usually takes in a 6-12 hour. The rings have been oxidized & finished with a micro-crystalline protective wax. Copper is a metal used since ancient times for the creation of jewelry & is known for the beneficial effects it can have on our body. Copper will brighten with each wear thanks to our body’s natural oils & reacts differently to every body’s chemistry: if you find that wearing a copper jewel turn your skin green, it is a sign that you have an acidic pH (it is not a quality issue, it’s just what the copper does). Any green mark is safe & completely harmless, it washes off easily with soap & water. I usually seal my rings with a micro-crystalline wax, but it is temporary: if you wish, you can seal the ring with a coat of clear nail polish in order to create a barrier between copper & your skin. The stones used for these rings are raw agates: any imperfections, like small scratches or chipping, don’t have to be seen as defects but as peculiar characteristics of this type of stones.
