This amazing pressure gauge is probably from the 1930s or 1940s, with a needle shape typical of the interwar period. This gauge measured hydraulic pressure up to 3,000 PSI, possibly for an industrial ram. This gauge was made by the Acme Gauge & Instrument Co. of Brooklyn, New York for Rivett Lathe & Grinder Co. of Boston, Massachusetts. The gauge measures about 4 7/8" in diameter, & the body is about 2 1/8" thick, & the connector extends another 1" below the gauge. Cool piece of American manufacturing history from the pinnacle of the machine age. in decent condition, with wear & rust on the brass casing, flaking dark green paint, & the glass is clear & without scratches.
