Wild about Hogs The hogfish is a favorite of Florida fishermen, divers & connoisseurs of fine seafood. What a nice beauty! After a recent fishing trip to the Florida Keys, we couldn’t help but notice how the natural color of these exotic hardwoods reflect the beautiful tones of the Hog Fish (Hog Snapper), common throughout the Keys. 20 pieces including ; Walnut, Paduk, Zebrawood, Spruce, Aromatic Cedar, Pine, White Oak, Mahogany, Poplar & Lacewood, were incorporated in this stunning representation of this delicious beauty. A natural knot of Pine with an dark insert was used for the fish’s eye. The middle fin was cut from a slice of live oak from our backyard; the grains are stunning. All woods have been coated with beeswax with orange oil to enhance & protect the natural colors. Dimensions: Approximately 22 inches long, 12 inches tall, & 1 inch thick A sawtooth hanger has been installed for easy display. We have other all natural fish on our site, sold separately. The last picture is a grouping of three of our favorites; the Mangrove Snapper, the Red Drum & the Snook. They would make a great trophy wall assembly for the avid fisherman."
