Fabulous “Labors of Cupid” Sterling Silver Oyster Fork. Made by Dominick & Haff of New York City in 1900, it is one of several motifs in the “Labors of Cupid” series. This oyster/seafood fork is 5½" long & in minty condition. “Labors of Cupid” is possibly the most exotic of the ornate Victorian figural patterns, a unique “pierced” pattern with the figure standing out in bold three dimensional relief. Each piece in the place setting is a different image of a “Cupid” engaged in a task, hence the pattern name. This pattern takes flatware into the realm of pure art. This seafood fork shows Cupid as an oysterman, with oyster shells on the top of the tines. This piece was sold by Daniel Low & Company in 1900, a landmark store in downtown Salem, MA. This popular store operated from 1874 until it closed in 1995. If you’ve been looking for a spectacular oyster fork, you’ve found it & shipping is included. Labors Of Cupid Oyster Fork
