This lovely pinkish purple flash Labradorite has tons of “labradorescence”! It’s always so difficult to photograph the true beauty of Labradorite in a single dimension so be sure to take a look at the video, too. I photographed it outside using natural light so you will see a bit of shadowing & reflection in the photos on the right side. This is really an amazing stone. I wrapped it using Argentium anti-tarnish sterling silver with minimal coverage over the face of the stone. Labradorite is found in several parts of the world including Finland, Ukraine, Madagascar, Australia, & Labrador Canada, where it gets its name. The iridescent play of colors, which range from blue to lavender, green, & reddish orange, is caused by the internal fractures within the mineral stone that reflect the light back & forth dispersing it into different colors. It measures just about 2 1/2 inches long & approx 2 inches wide at the widest part of the pendant. This is quite a statement piece! in the metaphysical world, Labradorite has a number of interesting properties including its action to protect your aura & the clear negativity from it. It is said to seal your aura to prevent any energy leaks. My pendants are sold with an 18" sterling silver chain included.
