this is an amazing bit of history, a ring from the aesthetic movement of the Victorian era, which covered approximately 1885 to 1901. it looks like it was a conversion, but definitely not recently. i believe the face was a brooch & the rest belonged to a different ring, maybe from the twenties. they make a spectacular composite, & LARGE. not only tall but sits high off a finger. for reference, my hands are small. this tests as sterling & 10k rose gold, & has loads of patina. wonderful scrollwork & beadwork, although some of the beads on the edge are missing. size: 7 height of face(excluding beads on the edge): 1 & 9/16" width: 7/8" width of inner band: 1/16" height off finger: 7/16" Large Antique Aesthetic Movement Ring in Sterling & Rose Gold, Size 7
