French Vintage Majolica Oyster Platter, Large Serving Platter, Seafood platter, Mid-century Tableware Gorgeous Green mid-century oyster platter. Although it is not stamped on the bottom, it is the exact same color & design as Longchamp oyster plates I’ve previously sold. It’s a French tradition for families to celebrate Christmas on Christmas eve starting with fresh oysters. Most families have a set of Oyster plates for such an occasion, but they are of course to be enjoyed at any time of year!! Just waiting for that next dinner party where you treat your guests to fresh oysters served on a genuine French vintage plate! This is a listing for a SERVING PLATTER. It is much larger than a standard oyster plate. It has 12 wells to hold the seafood. The platter is in a lovely green & cream/white color. The white has aged beautifully & looks creamy now, lovely!! in very good condition overall, no chips or hairs. There are a couple of tiny nibbles on the edge of a couple of wells which are hard to find (see photos). The odd manufacturing blip as you often get. A very heavy & solid platter.
