This Mass blends the gentle melodies of Gregorian Chant with contemporary syncopation and harmony. A simple Latin word or phrase, easy to pronounce and pleasing to the ear, is woven into each piece. The melodies are easy for congregations to learn, and accompaniment offers rich harmonies and textures. I named the Mass in honor of my sister, Teresa who passed away. She loved the Latin Mass. I appreciate the Latin Mass and traditional songs, but prefer contemporary Christian praise and worship and contemplative chants from Taizé. This Mass is my attempt to blend all the styles. Nine songs for this Mass setting: Lord, Have Mercy; Glory to God; Nicene Creed; Holy, Holy, Holy; We Proclaim Your Death, O Lord; When We Eat This Bread; Save us, Savior of the World; Great Amen; and Lamb of God. Full Score: soprano(melody for congregation), alto, tenor, bass, descant, keyboard for piano or organ, guitar chords, and C instrument(violin or flute).
