Hand-finished with special care, these minimalistic & modern plates come in 4 different colors with a natural speckled “Sesame” glaze. These pieces are created by first using a mold, & then are hand finished individually. This allows for the pieces to retain a practical level of consistency for everyday use, while giving each one the handmade feel. Due to the lack of a glossy protective layer, matte ceramics are more susceptible to flatware marks & stains. Flatware marks are not an indicator of poor quality, but rather due to the nature of the ceramic. The flatware marks may look like scratches, but are actually the result of the softer flatware metal rubbing on the stronger ceramic surface. That said, we recommend being gentle with your flatware when using these ceramics. To remove flatware marks, we recommend hand washing the dishes with Bar Keepers Friend. These ceramics are dishwasher, microwave & oven safe (up to 250o F). Please refer to our FAQ’s for additional detailed care & maintenance instructions. There may be slight variations in the coloring & sizes of the final products. It is natural for there to be slight blemishes that come from the glazing process of the plates.
