72" fringed cashmere bright red scarf with Land’s End tag, soft as a feather. The scarf was purchased at a yard sale in the summer & cleaned before starting my project. Accented with 3 cloth book titles from rescued damaged books that were in a box to go to the dump. My husband cut them apart & we recycled the paper, saving the cloth spines & front & back cover & facing pages for projects. The titles: Oriental Cooking the Fast Wok Way, The Complete Outdoor Cookbook & The American Heritage Book of Fish Cookery. These are sewn on with up-cycled thread from my mama’s sewing box on a vintage sewing machine. All three titles were chosen with a “Foodie” theme in mind, reminding me of my fabulous friend, Krista who never meets a cookbook she doesn’t want to browse…and man can she cook!! Wear your love of books proudly or tuck that side in near your heart. Dry clean only & the cloth titles should not be exposed to the pouring rain (like we sometimes have here in Oregon) it can leave spots on the spines just like it would on a cloth book. Dry Clean Only. (S SHELF Plain Red) Our packaging is rescued & up-cycled, this happens to be in a gift box that I found a bunch of at the recycle store SCRAP in Portland Oregon.
