It’s an amazing mix of chili & spices that can be mixed with hot oil to create a delightful Asian style chili oil. Either way, this is great added to ramen noodles, pho, fried rice, eggs, stir fry, & even pizza. There are many versions of this spice mix from Japanese togarashi & Indonesian sambal to Chinese chili oil. We used all of these & more as we developed this recipe. What we settled on is a mix of aromatic organic spices, freshly dried chili flakes with garlic, onion & sesame for crunch. Whether you use it dry or mixed into oil, we know you are going to love it. While this isn’t super hot, it does pack some heat. Our Chili Crisp flavor profile is: 45% Spicy 20% Fruity 15% Nutty 10% Savory 5% Sweet 5% Pungent How many chili crisp batches will you get out of a bag? in our recipe for how to make it (see video link above), we use 1/4 cup seasoning for each batch, but you may use more or less depending on your “thickness” preference.
