This low perennial, although modest in structure, will create an extremely effective composition when placed in larger numbers. It will fill less often the places in the garden that are semi-shaded or shaded, & it will decorate the bed at times when there are still not many plants in bloom. What’s more, it is easy to grow, so even an inexperienced gardener will not be difficult. The plant grows up to approx. 30 cm in height. The flowers are set on stalks & gathered in a few, forming dense inflorescences. It looks beautiful on the border, because it creates flowers in many colors - white, light yellow, yellow, pink, red & maroon. Flowering does not start until the second growing year, & usually blooms very early - from March to April. The leaves are ovate or oblong, notched at the edge & slightly wrinkled, gathered in a rosette. The plant has a bushy & upright habit. The primrose offered in our store is most often used in the garden on a flower bed. However, it also works well in pot cultivation, it can decorate interiors, balconies or terraces. Amateurs of flower bouquets should also like it, especially as it blooms in early spring with a higher deficit of flowers. Plants show good resistance to low temperatures. Primrose - Oxlip Primula grows best in a semi-shaded or shaded position, it will also thrive in a sunny place, but if the soil is sufficiently moist. & the substrate should be quite heavy, humus, loamy, well-retaining water & rich in nutrients. The seeds can be sown under cover from April to May, while the planting takes place in August-September. The optimal spacing for plants should be 20 x 25 cm.
