This pendant features a botryoidal psilomelane, with a natural, uncut, dolphin-like shape. It is set in solid sterling silver wire. Psilomelane is a very beautiful material made up of a mixture of manganese oxide minerals. Manganese oxides are known for their deep black colorpowder of this material is used for taking fingerprints for this reason. However when it forms crystals they show a beautiful silvery glossiness over the black base. This, along with their unusually sculpted forms make for a striking & unique natural treasure.
