This listing is for ONE MAIN COURSE PLATE & ONE SIDE PLATE This main course & side plate set are a must in every home. It is made from a very beautiful, gray speckled clay & glazed in a light blue/gray glaze. The rims of the plates are unglazed to create a subtle contrast in color & texture. There are so many factors to be considered when firing ceramics. The large plate was placed on a higher shelf in the kiln & as a result the same glaze has reacted to a slightly hotter temperature by becoming a tone darker blue/gray. I made 3 matching nested bowls which may be purchased together with this set or separately. You can see more images of the bowls in the link below. The large bowl is perfect as a ramen bowl or for a large salad for two. The middle sized bowl can be used as a soup bowl & the small one for a sauces or dips.
