Gorgeous kimono that I was told serviceman during WWII brought back from Shanghai. However it looks more Japanese than Chinese but I am not an expert. I think it is rayon (could be rayon/silk blend) but heavier than other all silk ones I own; almost like a fine rayon crepe. The embroidery on this is gorgeous; hand done & very thick. Pix pretty much showcase this beauty. Still has original sash. I wear these kimonos as robes, coats, over dresses/pants. Love them as just so versatile. in good vintage condition & not as fragile as some of the older ones can be which is nice. I have some from 20s but always have to be careful when wearing which can be a pain. Think some of stitching at underarm has come undone. Very unisex & fit many sizes.
