Stipple is a non-superwash 75% Merino/25% South American wool yarn, that is hand dyed & blended creating a solid-colored yarn with flecks of gradient colors. It’s not quite a marl, not quite a gradient, & not quite a solid. The best of all three worlds! Some will work up with subtle color shifts, others will be more bold. The last photo in this listing shows you how this yarn works up. The sample is the Love Note sweater by tincanknits, & it is knit in the colorway Movie Night. Due to the hand dyeing & milling nature, each skein is a one-of-a-kind, even when from the same dye lot. No need to alternate skeins when working with multiple skeins on a large project. Hand dyed by me in a smoke-free, yet pet friendly home. A note about the milling process. All Stipple yarns are milled in a small, family-run US mini mill. This means that the yarns are created by hand in small batches on simple cottage industry equipment.
