Min. Gloria Brown writes this book from her perspective as a Protestant minister, and expresses her concern for the direction in which our country is headed. She states in the Introduction to the book that “. . . the issues addressed are, I believe, critically important for the future of this country – for our children and their children. To my mind, the current state of political affairs has gone from ridiculous to totally absurd. The fact that each political party remains so steadfastly dogmatic concerning the ‘party line’ doesn’t make sense to me. Extremists from each party rule the day. Someone has defined insanity as ‘doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.’ Something needs to change. Stop this Madness!!!!” Min. Brown states that the solution to this country’s problems does not lie in new government programs. She believes that what this country really needs is a spiritual revival and a return to the Christian principles upon which the nation was founded. My name is Gloria P. Brown, and I relocated to my hometown of Riceboro in southeast Georgia eight years ago after having lived and worked in the Washington, D.C. area for 35 years. I returned home to care for my mother after my father passed away and really enjoy the slow pace after the rat race in the big city. This part of Georgia has the best weather and the best seafood anywhere! I have one son, D’wayne “KP” Wilkerson-Brown. Now, at the age of 61 and only months away from social security, life is really just beginning for me! I finally plan to get my bachelor’s degree after several starts and stops over the years, and am pursuing a B.S. in Religion from American Public University (online) – thank God for Pell Grants! I know that ministry is my life’s work I am a licensed minister in both the Baptist and Non-Denominational traditions. I will be starting a church soon, and I also have a dream of opening a group home for foster children. I want mostly that God be glorified in my life. (Oh! And I have another book to write, entitled “My ‘Gay’ Son.”) My desire is to see others come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, as well as to see Christians grow in their faith. . I believe it is time for the Church to get serious about the business of winning souls, because I truly believe that our Lord is soon to come. It may be sooner than we all think.
