If you would like me to leave out the sparkle, or you have any other requests just let me know in the “notes to seller” section when checking out or send me a private message These rolags are called “Osaka Castle”. They were a sample offered in December 2015’s Phat Fiber Sample Box (www.phatfiber.com) when the theme was “Far East”. They are made from commercially dyed fibers & firestar hand dyed with professional grade acid dyes. The pictures in the listing are a representation of the way your rolags will look. The first photo shows the rolags spun on a Glasspins supported spindle (www.mingoasho.etsy.com, SPINDLE NOT INCLUDED) & the second photo shows the rolags spun up on a turkish spindle, handcrafted by Spinning Magic (www.spinningmagic.net, SPINDLE NOT INCLUDED) & the last photo shows where the inspiration for this colorway came from. It is a picture of beautiful Osaka Castle in Japan (photo is not mine) this famous castle has been converted into a museum & even was at one point a set for one of the Godzilla movies! Rolags (sometimes referred to as Punis) are tubes of blended fibers that are perfect for spinning with any method by drafting from either end. They are extremely portable & are my preferred fiber prep to spin on my drop spindle to avoid fibers wrapping & catching on my wrist as I spin, & they are just as fun to spin on your wheel! You can also use the rolags for felting, although some materials included in the rolag may not felt well. I blended these rolags on my handcrafted Wooly Witch Blending Board. https://www.etsy.com/listing/215342709/ Take caution with finished yarn/object as these fibers may felt. Hand wash in cool water & lay flat to dry. I do my best to provide accurate pictures but please remember that colors can vary on different monitors which is why I do my best to list the colors at the top that are in the rolags.
