With only one year under his belt as a detective with the Buffalo Police Department, Hunter Pence gets a 20-year old, serial rapist case dropped in his lap. Perplexed and bothered that a rapist can go un-caught for such a long time, Hunter begins a new strategy that involves one of the rape victims. The girl (Remi McKenna) makes a good living helping thriving companies entertain clients. She has her own Sugarbaby Dating Service which earns her $500 per date. She is also a self-abuser, which involves cutting herself to offset the pain of being raped at the tender age of 12.She is introduced to Hunter late one night when a gang of thieves rams the car she is driving. After the harrowing experience with the gang is over, Hunter arrives on the scene to investigate. Soon thereafter, Hunter and Remi are swept into a game of catch me if you can with the serial rapist. When Hunter manages to overcome his mistakes and lack of inexperience, he finds himself on the heels of the rapist. At the same time, Remi fights psychological demons that threaten her very existence. The mysteries of her life unravel in a dramatic explosion of events. She weaves her way through skeptical friends, a forceful therapist, multiple self-defense encounters, and a relentless rapist intent on returning to the scene of the crime.
