This book is an attempt to critically evaluate the rural landscapes and characters in Indian English novels, as a part of the intellectual enjoyment and an endeavour to describe the natural beauty of our country. Therefore, it is a part of study of the Indian fiction in particular and short stories in general. It has been prepared in the light of Indian novelists’ perception which is exclusively dealt with. The present volume is expected to be a milestone on the literary works of Indian fictionists, which are prescribed in almost all the universities across the globe. Not only that it is likely to become an important part of the post-modern literature, consequently it may also be useful for the research scholars as well as the students too.
