In The Time of Your Life (Unless You Die First…), author and screenwriter Elise Connelly finds herself involved in both romance and murder on the set where her first book is being made into a movie. Elise has just come off a break-up with her boyfriend Jack, a mall photographer, when the film’s star Gregor McKeon announces his attraction to her. As filming commences in the south of Spain, the two become acquainted. Naturally, Gregor has a reputation for bedding pretty much every female he works with, and he’s also engaged, to a lofty countess who becomes universally despised on the movie set. Her conscience smiting her, Elise (briefly) tries to resist Gregor, but ends up in falling prey to his charms. To further complicate matters, Jack decides to join the shoot in Budapest in order to win back Elise’s affections. In a cave outside the Hungarian capital, Gregor finds himself the victim of the first of two attempts on his life by an unknown assailant. Along with the film’s director, Teo Carreras (a most enthusiastic amateur sleuth), the two new lovers race to unmask the would-be killer…before it’s too late.
