Vintage French Oyster Plate SARREGUEMINES, Barbotine Oyster Seafood Dish, French Antique Barbotine Plate, Sarreguemines Majolica Plate A Vintage French Majolica/Barbotine oyster plate, produced by the famous ceramic company “Sarreguemines”, about 1930’s, in the most beautiful mid sandy /mustard colored shiny ceramic, the essence of French retro chic. It is shaped with 6 oysters or clams compartments & one central for lemon or sauce. The base has been stamped with the Sarreguemines maker’s mark. Wonderful addition to your collection & home decor. Plate is in excellent condition, slightly crazed surface, & two tiny loss of the glazed ceramic in two places at the back edge, please, see photos. Otherwise as new, vibrant & shiny, with nuances of colors really beautiful , in fantastic condition throughout for it’s age, it look virtually unused. Even the base on the underside is still shiny. A rare find. Diameter 10,23" (26cm) Height 1.25" (4cm) Great plate to add to your collection of antique French majolica pieces! It Can be used at the table or as a decoration on a wall.
